Gallery of Dolls
My favourite dolls of all are antique Brus. This is my reproduction of an antique Bru 13 . It is very rewarding to make these dolls but they take so many hours that I don't think I could ever bear to sell one. First it took me hours to research everything about how she should be dressed and painted. I had to pour many heads before I got one that I could fit the beautiful paperweight eyes in perfectly. It took me many hours to make the Bru's mohair wig, underwear, hat, socks, shoes, and dress with all it's ribbon trim and handmade flowers. She is dressed in silk dupioni and antique lace.
The modern dolls below are lovely too and so much more affordable! Most of the dolls in the slide show are made from molds by Dollartworks (Donna Rubert) or Expressionsdolls (Dianna Effner).
